Cashew Cranberry Smoothie

Because cranberries are very tart, they are best when mixed with other fruits. Banana and soaked cashews give this smoothie a thick, creamy texture.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup frozen cranberries
  • ¼ cup raw cashews
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • ¾ cup milk

Product Needed

Slow juicer, assembled with a smoothie strainer.

Directions

  1. Soak the cashews in lukewarm water for at least 1 hour.
  2. Thaw the frozen ingredients for about 10 minutes
  3. Cut the banana into small chunks.
  4. Close the Smart Cap (spout) of the slow juicer.
  5. Pour milk into the juicer. While the juicer is running, slowly add the other ingredients. Allow the juicer to process the ingredients one small portion at a time.
  6. Open the Smart Cap to release the smoothie. Serve chilled.

Serves 2.

Tip

For a sweeter smoothie, add some honey or agave to the finished juice.

Avocado Pineapple Smoothie

This tropical smoothie is sweet, creamy, and full of healthy fats. Thanks to the avocado and banana, this drink is also high in potassium.

  • ½ medium avocado

Tip

To determine if an avocado is ripe, apply gentle pressure to its surface. The avocado should yield to the pressure while remaining firm.
